Inactivity Excuses
Hey guys :)
Si, I know I've been ridiculously unactive lately.
I'm really sorry.
It's dead week right now (the week before finals), and I'm crammed with a bunch of final projects/tests/ect.. so I really have no time to even do my nails, let alone blog.
So unfortunately, I'm just going to have to say I most likely won't be on until the 9th or so of June. I'll still check in of course, and try to post if I can but I won't be able to do any major posting for awhile. Don't worry though, I'll make sure my giveaway is completed.

So, a few days ago I finally splurged (I know, $10! Ridiculous!) on Essie MAY (Matte About You)
Holy cheezits, this stuff is freaking amazing.
I'm like a matte-a-holic now.
MAY applies wonderfully- no streaks, no brush issues, no drag, no cloudiness, no problems. I've heard that after awhile it can leave white spots, but it hasn't happened yet!
So, I figured I'd show you guys some random polishes with MAY on top.

ChG Review: Hope Chest & Cosmic
Ok, so awhile ago the lovely Irene from ChG PR sent me these polishes.
The randomness made me think that she just grabbed up the first ones she could find.. which is fine with me! Any free polish is great polish.
This is Hope Chest. Hope Chest is a light ivory sheer, with no hint of shimmer. Please forgive the dreadful application, me and sheers aren't exactly best buddies. However, I have to say that while I highly dislike sheers (I have awful staining and uneven VNLs), I think anyone who likes them or even doesn't mind this would love this polish. If it was just a tad more opaque, I think I would too. The application was great, with a few streaks here and there, but nothing that isn't expected from a sheer like this. I wanted to try to make it opaque, but I decided against it, as it's obviously meant to be a sheer. As usual, the ChG brush was fine, but nothing special. Overall, a great polish for those who love sheers. This swatch was 3 coats, no tc/bc.
This is Cosmic. Cosmic is a black base with somewhat sparse holo glitter, with a few round or hex (I couldn't tell) glitters thown in. I'll admit, I had high expectations for this polish. Though it mostly lived up to them, I would have loved for the glitter in this polish to be a little denser.The application on this was lovely. Although it was chunky, the glitter did spread out fairly evenly, which I wasn't expecting. It's really quite sparkly, and though the sparseness of the glitter isn't a good thing for me, it honestly makes your nails look like a night sky, complete with stars and the occasional planet. I think this would be a cool polish for really casual day events, because without sun it looks a bit dull.

Water Marbling: Never Going to Happen Again.
Hey guys :)
SO, I tried water marbling for the first time this weekend.
The results.. were pretty gruesome, actually.
It was fun up until the cleanup.. and then I spent about four hours with blue fingers. Thank god I only did accent fingers...
While I was marbling, two drops of polish sunk to the bottom like little balls. I thought it was cool :)
The result was this:
I hate that tiny little bubble. Which ultimately ended up as this:
I'm great at cleanup, huh? Base color was ChG For Audrey, with the marbles being done with three random blues I don't recall the name of. I want to say SH Blue It, SH Pixel Pretty, & ChG Shower Together, but I'm not sure.

Excuse my shoddy application, because this polish is b-e-a-utiful.
I wasn't very impressed when I first put it on.. sure, the formula was good (2 coats), and the application was good. But where was the legendary sparkle?

Sinful- Rich at Heart!
I love this color!
It goes on really well, and it's absolutely beautiful. In the shade, this is a subtle coffee brown with maybe a hint of the red shimmer. But in the sun, it turns into this amazing lit-from-within beauty. Gorgeous!

Pardon My French- The Cremes
Wow.
I love color club, I really do. Revvvolution is probably my favorite color ever (next to my lovely SH magical oldie). However, I don't understand CC's reasoning when they created this horror of a collection.
These three polishes are hideous. The colors aren't actually that bad, but the application of these are horrible. Four coats each, streaky and gross even still.

**I know I don't have Take Me to Your Chateau here. This was the sole exception from the horrors of the rest of the collection, so I figured it deserved it's own post.

Kitteh Spam
Hey guys ;)
I figured instead of posting random nail pics, today I'd show you my little kitteh.
His name is Cherry. Yes, he is wearing a heart tag on his collar. I didn't intend for everyone to think he was a girl.. but I think my mom did. Anyway, he's named Cherry because my mom insisted on naming him Jerry Garcia.. which I didn't agree with. So now, my cat's name is Cherry Garcia....
He was playing with my camera cord in the last pic, I thought it was cute ;)

NOTD: Color Club- Worth the Risque
I've really been on a holo kick lately. They're just so pretty!
I love how they make little rainbows in the sun- I always run around showing my friends, demanding they look at my hands. They aren't as impressed as I am, though.
This polish went on really well- this is two coats, no cleanup.

SH Oldie- Purple Potion
Ohemgee.
This polish is amazing.
I found this is my friend's bedroom, and she said I could have it. I was a little scared because the bottle is gold, so I had no idea what was inside. And inside was.... magic. An amazing, grey-toned lavender holo? I couldn't believe my eyes.

This pic isn't very color accurate though. In real life, FA is less neon and more green... along the lines of Sinful Mint Apple. Application was good, this was two coats.

OPI- Gargantuan Green Grape

This lovely little polish was my first OPI.
And it nearly turned me off OPI forever.. this polish is a downright PITA.
Though it's an amazing color, the application is horrible. Streaks, bald patches, and tip drag galore.
But it's really pretty, isn't it?
