Alright so I'll be honest, I'm still in shock about the fact I have 160 followers after being gone for over a year. Surely you must all be gone too...
Is there anyone still active?
If so, thank you. It's a nice feeling to know that there's a chance someone out there might be reading. I wish I could say the same for my normal (yet still new) tumblr. Absolutely no one is reading that haha.

Oh my god.
Several things are surprising me right now.
One, is the fact my blog is still here. I would have thought it was deleted or something, or all my followers were gone.
Not like I remember how many I've had- it's been almost two years, if I remember right.
Anyway, I'm in a bit of a nail polish phase again. Not the kind where I buy so many my drawers explode and my wallet begs for mercy, just utilizing the ones I do have in a fun way.
My friend and I are in it together, you see. I'm going to try and get her to post on here but who knows? Maybe it won't work, maybe she'll think I'm crazy.

Get ready to see some nails! And also, mind the cuticles... they're a nightmare.

Hey everyone :) It's been a long time since I've posted here!
Over 6 months, in fact :)
Anywho, I think I've decided to try and keep up with this blog again. I really enjoyed my time doing it and to be honest.. I've missed my nail polish! I won't have a bunch of new stuff for you at first (I'm still getting back into the swing of things) but I'd just like to thank my AMAZING followers for sticking with me through these past 6 months. Even though I'm betting a bunch of you just forgot about me and didn't unsubscribe.

Inactivity Excuses

Hey guys :)
Si, I know I've been ridiculously unactive lately.
I'm really sorry.

It's dead week right now (the week before finals), and I'm crammed with a bunch of final projects/tests/ect.. so I really have no time to even do my nails, let alone blog.

So unfortunately, I'm just going to have to say I most likely won't be on until the 9th or so of June. I'll still check in of course, and try to post if I can but I won't be able to do any major posting for awhile. Don't worry though, I'll make sure my giveaway is completed.

Mass-Posting Plan

Lack of Activity

It's nearing the end of the school year (and lacrosse season), and among other things polish has really taken it's toll on my grades. Kitteh Spam

I figured instead of posting random nail pics, today I'd show you my little kitteh.
His name is Cherry. Yes, he is wearing a heart tag on his collar. I didn't intend for everyone to think he was a girl.. but I think my mom did. Anyway, he's named Cherry because my mom insisted on naming him Jerry Garcia.. which I didn't agree with. So now, my cat's name is Cherry Garcia....





He was playing with my camera cord in the last pic, I thought it was cute ;)

A Realization

Hey guys :)
So, for awhile I've been pretty addicted to my follower count.
I've striven to be a 'popular' nail blogger.. bringing me back to pre-junior high maturity level.
So, today I realized that instead of trying to please prospective followers, I really should just give my all to provide a good, entertaining nail resource for my current followers. There are a hundred and three of you, and I appreciate all of you, thanks for reading my blog.

Robot Unicorn Attack

Ok.. totally off topic here.
I just wanted to qarn you guys that I may/may not emerge from the cave I've dug for myself in the past few hours. The cave is named Robot Unicorn Attack. This is actually the most addicting game ever invented. It consists of an annoying yet catchy song, overly obnoxious dolphins, and a very accident prone jumping unicorn.  Honestly though, it's an amazing game. Immature and stupid, but amazing. Hey guys :)

So, after sneaking a peak at my poor bank account, I decided I must go on a no-buy.
Then, I thought this through, and realized that this would ultimately fail.. miserably.

So, I've decided on a low-buy, and I need your help sticking to it.
I've decided that I'm only allowed to buy five polishes a month, or spend up to $25 on polish a month.
I know this sounds extremely low for all of you, but I've bought acquired (some were gifted to me) almost 100 polishes in the last two months. I use one nail polish a day, so this means I have about.. 40 untrieds? Ridiculous!
 
So guys, help me stick to this low-buy. Every time I get a major lemming I'll make a post about it- it's up to you to tell me whether it's worth it or not.

The Ring [finger].

Ok, so I decided to go take a look at my past posts and see if there was anything wrong with them that obviously needed fixing. I went back and just realized- my ring finger is cut off in nearly every swatch picture! Luckily I just learned to to fix that, so I've now made all my pictures a bit smaller so you can see all three of my swatch fingers.

Tea Party Poll :)

Hello all!
This weekend, my friends and I are throwing an afternoon tea party *crosses fingers for no rain*.

I'm going to be wearing either a short white dress with rosettes at the center, or a white dress with large coral(ish) flowers & kelly green leaves. So.. my dilemma is my nails!

I'm not looking to be completely matching, but I'd like it to look good.

Helmer!!!

Yesterday I finally picked up my first helmer :)
It's a lot smaller that I expected it to be, and assembly was an outright pita. However, it may be my fault as I'm not too good at reading the directions. It got together eventually though, and I was expecting to fill about half of it... but I didn't even fill a drawer. I thought Helmers were supposed to hold like 200 polishes?! But I have just over 100, and it all easily fit inside one drawer. It's great, because I vowed to stick to one helmer.. but also bad, because now I'll go buy polish to fit it :)



That basket on top is another little basket I got from ikea, it's the perfect size to store my acetone/remover/cotton pads/file/ect..

This is what my stash looked like before helmer. I'm not kidding, all my polish was dumped out onto my floor so I could find certain colors.

It looks so small compared to other stash pics I've seen. I almost feel ashamed. Almost.

Organization

I have issues with it.
My 'nail polish room' (Actually my brothers, as he is away at college), is such a mess I don't even know where to start. I need to get myself a helmer.. or something. I took some pictures, but as I don't want to scar my readers for life, I'm refusing to post them. If you want to picture it.. imagine your nail polish stash. Now, dump it on the floor. Mix it up a bit. Add in some used cotton balls and an open bottle of acetone. Surround it with open shipping boxes covered with test strokes. Want to cry yet? Leave half the tops off of the bottles (See post below). Alright.. someone kill me please. Preferably with a helmer.

Polish Monster

I've become a polish monster.
A few weeks ago, I would have been content to let my friends come over, play with my polishes, even use one of my franken bottles to try it out. Not anymore.

Yesterday, my friend came over. My friends make fun of my polish addiction (It's worth it though), but she was content with sitting down and painting on an old cardboard box because she'd already done her nails. I even let her use one of my pretty franken bottles (One of the new ones, not just a cleaned old bottle) to make a rather odd purple glitter color. However, this morning I came downstairs into the room where I kept my polish, and realized that EVERY SINGLE polish she had used (About 18) had the tops unscrewed, some even off and laying on my floor. I know it's my fault for not realizing this before I went to bed.. but still. That girl is NEVER touching my polish again.

PSA: I need to get a life outside of polish.

Ok, that's my rant for the day. What's yours?

Whatt?

I've been receiving a lot of positive attention for my collection, and I'm surprised (and thrilled!).
It's only been finished for about four hours, and I've already gotten several people wishing to purchase/swap/insert other way of receiving my polishes here. Everyone has been really kind and supportive, so I'd just like to thank everyone for that.

I've decided that if people are that enthusiastic about my polishes, then I might as well give them a shot.
I wrote and followed strict franken recipes for them, so I feel confident I can dupe them fairly easily.
I haven't decided on a price or anything yet, but I'm really open to any offers you may have- whether it be swapping, buying, ect.. I'm open to suggestions!
